Pumpkin Patch

Halloweeen is here and I am looking forward to Pumpkin carving after school tonight, we had a wee look around Pinterest and there are some absolutely gorgeous really clever ones.  Unfortunately, when it comes to artisticness (don't you just love making up words), I can't draw for toffee so it will just be a bog standard pumpkin for us!

Here's my Pumpkin Patch card...

The image is a digi from the fabulous Nutcrafters.  I printed her onto Papermill Direct white linen card and coloured with Polychromo Pencils .  The papers are First Edition "Desert Bloom" available from Trimcraft.  I punched out the image using a large Woodware circle punch, and the flowers are Tonic punches.  The pearls are from Sonas Made.

Here is my polychromo recipe card!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I used this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches although I can't enter it as they have a 3 challenge rule!

Bewitched

Bewitched (the movie, both the original and the remake) is right up there along with all the James Bond movies, Star Trek, Star Wars and the Godfather Trilogy...films everyone always assumes you have seen, but I haven;t ever seen any of them!  Does that make me weird.  Will have to check out Netflix and see if Bewitched is on there, that could be a good Saturday movie for us this week...although I have always loved "Practical Magic" with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.  Daisy has recently discovered Moulin Rouge and has gone a wee bit Nicole Kidman daft at the moment.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, here is my card:

The digi is can be found at Squigglefly, and even better, she is a freebie.  She's called "Framed Witch".  I printed her onto Papermill Direct white linen card.  I then coloured her with Polychromo pencils, and it's a bit tricky to see on the pictures but I picked out all the strands of the web with a clear glitter pen from Sakura.   The patterned papers are First Edition "Desert Bloom" available from Trimcraft.

Here's my Polychromo colour list for this image:

Holly Jolly Christmas

It still feels odd to make making Christmas Cards this early.  I am a big fan of making Christmas Cards in a batch the first weekend in December, it always makes me feel super Christmassy.  I definitely do not miss the Christmas in July working in a craft store phenomena!  Not one bit!   And I will never forget working a Christmas Eve and the back door going with a delivery of Easter stock!  Seriously people, stop wishing your time away!

Here's my early Christmas card!

a bit different for me this one.  The stamp is an old wooden one someone gave me years ago.  The Black & White cardstock are both from Papermill Direct and the red paper is a Magenta "Stars & Checkerboard" (this is the toning solid on the back!).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

House & Home

I'm blogging from my cosy comfy bed in my lovely eclectic mix of a house, and it makes me smile!  It is a real mish-mash of stuff, and more than a little different but we love it!

Here's my card...

The stamp is from "The Move" set by Woodware. The sentiment is from the "Big Sentiments" set from Personal Impressions.  I've stamped both of these with Dove Grey StazOn onto the Forever Friends Kraft Notes papers from DoCrafts.  I punched the house out with a circle punch from Stampin Up.  I finished it off with 4mm white pearls...

It's A Baby!

I seem to be writing increasingly more often about how fast time is going, but it really really is!  As I made these cards today I'm finding myself thinking back to when she was a baby.  In some ways it seems like forever because so much has happened, but then in other ways I can;t quite seem to get my head around the fact that my baby is now 11 and at high school.  How did that happen.  Between school and her extra activities she is a busy wee thing and I am so proud of her.  She works so hard and is a wee trouper.

Anyway, here are today's cards:

The pram stamp is a Magnolia I've had for ages.  I love it.  I stamped it onto the Do Crafts Forever Friends Kraft Notes paper and then coloured the body of the plan really lightly with a single colour.  I glittered the detail with a clear Sakura gel pen and added buttons from Sonas Made.  It's punched out using a Stampin Up circle punch.  The sentiment is from a set of stamps I have had for so long I have no idea where I got them or who made them, I'm so sorry (slapped wrist!).  The hearts are punched with Tonic punches.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Anything Goes - Through The Craft Room Door
Use A Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments
Favourite Colour Combo - Top Tip Tuesday - pinks on "It's A Girl"

Hoppy Christmas

A bit bizarrely there was a poor we froggie on the path at the front of my house a few weeks ago.  I thought it was a strange time of year for that, but he looked like he was on a mission!  I'm kicking myself now though...I maybe should have tried giving him a kiss when he literally appeared practically on my doorstep ;-)

Here's my card for today...

The frog and heart stamps are "Peppers Christmas Party - Hide & Seek" from Trimcraft.  The frog is stamped onto Paper Mill Direct white linen card and coloured with Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils.  The hearts I stamped onto the patterned paper and picked out the white details with a white Sakura Souffle pen.  The papers are the Christmas Collection from Kars.  I did the sentiment with individual Studio G Alphabet Stamps also from Trimcraft.  These are brilliant, so versatile.

 Here's my polychromo colours:

Birthday Wishes

Evening all.  Not so many posts from me the last couple of days as I have been busy working on other projects I can't quite share yet but watch this space...lol.  I am literally seeing spots in my sleep (all will become clear!)

I had a wee spare hour tonight while Daisy was at Pipe Band so here is what I made...

The image and sentiment stamps are both from Pink Gem Designs .  She is called "Sprinkles with Attitude!  Isn't she great.  She is stamped onto Paper Mill Direct white linen card and coloured with Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils.  (The card looks more ivory in this pic sorry, I was having lighting issues...curse these dark nights!).  The sentiment is punched using the Stampin Up scalloped circle punch.  The papers are DoCrafts Forever Friends Kraft Notes.   The buttons and ribbon are from Sonas Made.  I experimented and coloured the small wooden heart buttons with the polychromo pencils to make them pink...it seems to have worked!

Here are the polychromo colours...

Happy Birthday Mum

Hi all, what a mixed bag of a Saturday.  We've had rain and sun and clouds and clear.  We managed to head out on our bikes yesterday afternoon for the first time since my operation.  I got about 3/4 of the way to the next village on a flat cycle path and had to turn around and come back!  But still, as one of the big supermarkets says, every little helps I guess!

Here's today's card:

I have used the First Edition "Desert Blooms" papers.  These are so gorgeous, amazing colours and a lot of pre-sparkled glitter ones too.  I stamped the sentiment using DoCrafts Forever Friends "Hand Script Alphabet"  stamps a one of their mixed sentiment sets.  I used Stampin' Up punches for the flowers and the scalloped edge.  The gems and flower button are from Sonas Made.

Enjoy Life's Moments

We have just had a total random fit of the giggles.  Daisy and I are cosied up in bed chatting at the same time as I'm blogging and I've just informed her she was on the crazy pills to which she replied "No, it's Dragon Nip.  Grass, I'm on Grass".  I nearly chocked laughing and informed her she really can't go around saying she is on Grass.  Apparently this is a "How To Train Your Dragon reference to Dragon Nip which has obviously gone straight over my head.  It's fair to say that we are definitely enjoy this moment :-).

Here's tonight's card:

The stamp is from Lili of the Valley, one of my all time favourite stamp companies.  My major problem with them is I love all of their stamps and can never decide which ones to buy.  It's been stamped onto Papermill Direct white linen card and coloured with Polychromo Pencils.  I used my "crystal" stickles on the water and champagne.  The sentiment is a Kaisercraft "Life" stamp.  The papers are Forever Friends Kraft Notes from  Do Crafts.  The little flowers are a Tonic punch and the gems are from Sonas Made

Above are the polychromo colours I used.

Follow Your Heart

Following Your Heart is one thing I really hope I can instill into Daisy.  I hope she will learn to trust her gut instincts and listen to them and that she lives a life that makes her happy.  However I am hoping there is a wee bit of a difference between "following your heart" and impulsiveness.  I think it is fairly safe to say (and I'm pretty sure that my parents would whole-heartedly agree) that I suffer from impulsiveness (although less so since I've gotten a wee bit older and become a parent).  My impulsiveness started in my teens and led to a lot of stress for my poor mum and dad, I fact I think you only ever learn when you become a parent yourself!

Here's my card...

The stamp is a Whimsical Word from Stampin Up stamped in Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.   The circle punch is also from Stampin Up and the flowers are Tonic punches.  The patterned papers are Do Crafts Forever Friends Kraft Notes, and the gems are from Sonas Made.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
