Absent Friends

Hi all...long time no see! Haven't been hiding just been working really really hard!! The shop has been so busy and been lovely to see everyone. We're also starting to sell off some stands and stamps etc which are all being listed on the shops Facebook page here. Also had my first card published in the Best of British Section of Simply Cards & Papercraft...mega exciting! Will post pics of that later!

Decided to have a go at the 2 Sketches 4 You challenges this week. There was 3 sketches so so far only had time to do 2. I used the Craftwork Cards papers from Creative Cardmaking Issue 21, and some KARS christmas buttons.

My second card...

Really love these papers!

Born To Shop

Evening all! Been a busy old week with school starting along with all the activities that go with it! Also did a brilliant "Why Use Twitter" course that was really really interesting. Angela and I made a good start at gutting the shop classroom almost filling a HUGE bin, and then I was demoing the fab Tonic punch range on Saturday. The border system is brilliant and so quick and easy...they went down really really well with the customers.

Had a cheeky spare couple of hours this afternoon so decided to have a play with the Born To Shop range from Do Crafts and here's what I came up with:

First off a wall hanging because I just adore this sentiment...
A bookmark pocket card with an over the page style bookmark...

And a couple of square cards...

Get to play with the latest "Creative Cardmaking" magazine tomorrow, as well as working on the next class list so if there are any suggests speak up!

Sweet dreams everyone

Time passing...

Well school back today so should get back to blogging more regularly! I CANNOT BELIEVE how grown up my baby looks as she head of into primary 4! Where has the time gone? My baby just can't be so grown up! I'm a bit emotional!!!
She absolutely adores her new Gorjuss school bag and scuff free shoes...for now at least! Bet they're not like this at 3pm!
Back to crafting and with time passing so fast I decided to do some clock altering at last weeks class...Here we go, a plain wall clock from Poundstretchers...
And after! Hard to believe it's the same clock. I sanded down the plastic, coated with a berry coloured acrylic and then before the acrylic dried completely dabbed on a layer of bronze crackle paint so that it picked up some of the colour. Then once it had dried I used a gold ink pad and a black staz-on over the top. The papers for the face are Basic Gray...

And a quick couple of Craftrak swap cards...
This is a Penny Black stamp...

That's me for today...off to work on some wedding invitations now.
Have a fab day everyone

Wedding Season

Hiya!
Well as its wedding season and I can't share with u what I've been making until they've been sent out, I thought I'd share some more scrap layouts from my baby sisters gorgeous wedding! Still can't believe it's 3 years ago! Time flies!

This first one is 12x12 and uses some scrummy Cosmo Cricket papers (is it just me or has there never been a range of Cosmo Cricket papers that aren't stunning?)... (Love the sentiment!)
Hearts were cut on the trusty Cricut machine...

An 8x8 layout this time using some leftovers from a papermania page kit...
K & Co this time, coupled with a pink felt tip pen, a glue pen & some glamour dust! (Can't believe how little Daisy looks in this one!)
Ok, I think thats about as much love & romance I can take for one day ;-) Every girl could use some more romance in their life, but when all ur doing is scrapping it and writting about it it gets a wee bit depressing!
Right off to take solace in a chocolate bar!
Have a fab day everyone!
Keep Smiling...
Ruth
