Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #222 Christmas Tags

Morning all,

There's a fab new challenge starting over at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge blog today - it's a Christmas tag challenge.  It's sponsored by My Grafico.

http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html
MYGRAFICO is a leading Digital Online store with Hand selected Designers. Our unique designs come with affordable prices. We offer Commercial Use high quality Designer cliparts, digital stamps, Photoshop brushes, creative paper sets, scrapbook ing designs, SVG cutting templates, pr-emade party printables and stationery templates.

I really struggled to choose which of their fab Christmas images I wanted to use so ended up using 4 and here's what I came up with:

My papers are from a  DCWV Christmas stack.  The gorgeous green pearlised card has such an amazing sparkle and was a special from Paper Mill Direct this time last year - it was so gorgeous I made sure I stocked up.  I used 3 punches for these from EK, Woodware, and Stampin Up.  The ribbon was from the Sonas Made stash coming very soon!  I coloured them with my Faber Castell Polychormo Pencils and finished them off with a wee bit of crystal Stickles - always a must at this time of year!

These images are just so flippin cute!

Pop on over and show us your take on this brilliant Christmassy theme, I would love to see what you all come up with!

I Believe In You

I made this card for my gorgeous Daisy...I am holding onto it for the appropriate moment!  I am blown away every day by just how amazing she is, I couldn't be prouder.  She has really settled into high school, has thrown herself into school life with massive gusto, book club, film club, dance club, the gym, maintaining her homework, a wee part time job at the stables, pipe band and scouts.  I don't know where she gets the energy!  I am pretty much only required for taxi driving and feeding at the moment.  I guess that will get worse the older she gets!

Here she is a few weeks ago helping out on a freezing cold super windy Saturday at her first cross country event.  She had a brilliant day and worked really hard without complaint.  She walked miles around the course.  I guess it won't be too long before she is competing at events like this!

Here's her card...

The image is Simply Sassy Winking Student from the always brilliant Sugar Nellie Stamps. She looks a bit like Daisy!  Think it's the glasses and the pleat and the books that do it!  She's stamped onto Papermill Direct white linen card and coloured with Polychromo Pencils.  The patterned papers are First Edition "Desert Bloom" available from Trimcraft.  The sentiment is a Kaisercraft "proud" mini stamp.  The punches used are a Paper Shaper large flower and a Tonic Studios corner rounder.  The button in the middle of the flower is from Sonas Made

 Above are my Polychromo colours.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Humphries!

Morning all,
Been a tad bit knackered being back at the "day job" and trying to fit everything in so there's not been so many posts this week, but I will get used to it again and back on track.  There's going to be a fair few early nights while that happens though, but the good news is I am sleeping like a baby when my head does hit the pillow!  Now how do you encourage an 11 year old to go to bed earlier...

Enough of my rambling, here's my card:

I've used "Hello Rudolph" & "Santa & Rudolph" Humphry Christmas stamps from Crafters Companion, stamped onto white linen Papermill Direct card and coloured with Polychromo Pencils.  I punched the images out with a Stampin Up 1 1/4" circle punch and mounted it on their scalloped circle punch.  The papers are a DCWV Christmas stack.  The ribbon is from Sonas Made.

Here are the Polychromo colours:

An Exciting Announcement - Tuesday Throwdown TT220

Morning all, I have an exciting announcement to make today.  I am proud and happy and delighted to tell you I am now on the design team over at Tuesday Throwdown and my first card for them is for challenge TT220 - A Shaped Card which has gone live today!  This challenge is sponsored by the brilliant Robyns Fetish and I have used here "Christie Angel" digi...

The snowflake is cut from the "Accent Essentials" Cricut cartridge and is most definitely my "go-to" snowflake, it's such a great shape.  I cut the shadow in silver mirror card and the top in white glitter card, both of which I have had stashed to use for a while.  This white glitter card was a shedder though, it's fair to say my cricut mat, work desk, my entire general work area and most of myself was absolutely covered in ultrafine glitter!  Shed central!  The letter is cut from the "Don Juan" cartridge.  I used my trusty Polychromo Pencils to colour her on white linen Papermill Direct card.  I glittered her wings with glamour dust on top of glossy accents.

Here's my Polychromo colour chart...

I am so excited to be a part of this lovely team and can't wait to show you more cards for them...pop over and check out the other brilliant designers, join in the challenge, and say hi!

Pumpkin Patch

Halloweeen is here and I am looking forward to Pumpkin carving after school tonight, we had a wee look around Pinterest and there are some absolutely gorgeous really clever ones.  Unfortunately, when it comes to artisticness (don't you just love making up words), I can't draw for toffee so it will just be a bog standard pumpkin for us!

Here's my Pumpkin Patch card...

The image is a digi from the fabulous Nutcrafters.  I printed her onto Papermill Direct white linen card and coloured with Polychromo Pencils .  The papers are First Edition "Desert Bloom" available from Trimcraft.  I punched out the image using a large Woodware circle punch, and the flowers are Tonic punches.  The pearls are from Sonas Made.

Here is my polychromo recipe card!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I used this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches although I can't enter it as they have a 3 challenge rule!

Bewitched

Bewitched (the movie, both the original and the remake) is right up there along with all the James Bond movies, Star Trek, Star Wars and the Godfather Trilogy...films everyone always assumes you have seen, but I haven;t ever seen any of them!  Does that make me weird.  Will have to check out Netflix and see if Bewitched is on there, that could be a good Saturday movie for us this week...although I have always loved "Practical Magic" with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.  Daisy has recently discovered Moulin Rouge and has gone a wee bit Nicole Kidman daft at the moment.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, here is my card:

The digi is can be found at Squigglefly, and even better, she is a freebie.  She's called "Framed Witch".  I printed her onto Papermill Direct white linen card.  I then coloured her with Polychromo pencils, and it's a bit tricky to see on the pictures but I picked out all the strands of the web with a clear glitter pen from Sakura.   The patterned papers are First Edition "Desert Bloom" available from Trimcraft.

Here's my Polychromo colour list for this image:

Holly Jolly Christmas

It still feels odd to make making Christmas Cards this early.  I am a big fan of making Christmas Cards in a batch the first weekend in December, it always makes me feel super Christmassy.  I definitely do not miss the Christmas in July working in a craft store phenomena!  Not one bit!   And I will never forget working a Christmas Eve and the back door going with a delivery of Easter stock!  Seriously people, stop wishing your time away!

Here's my early Christmas card!

a bit different for me this one.  The stamp is an old wooden one someone gave me years ago.  The Black & White cardstock are both from Papermill Direct and the red paper is a Magenta "Stars & Checkerboard" (this is the toning solid on the back!).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Black & White & ... - Papertake Weekly - I added RED

House & Home

I'm blogging from my cosy comfy bed in my lovely eclectic mix of a house, and it makes me smile!  It is a real mish-mash of stuff, and more than a little different but we love it!

Here's my card...

The stamp is from "The Move" set by Woodware. The sentiment is from the "Big Sentiments" set from Personal Impressions.  I've stamped both of these with Dove Grey StazOn onto the Forever Friends Kraft Notes papers from DoCrafts.  I punched the house out with a circle punch from Stampin Up.  I finished it off with 4mm white pearls...

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

It's A Baby!

I seem to be writing increasingly more often about how fast time is going, but it really really is!  As I made these cards today I'm finding myself thinking back to when she was a baby.  In some ways it seems like forever because so much has happened, but then in other ways I can;t quite seem to get my head around the fact that my baby is now 11 and at high school.  How did that happen.  Between school and her extra activities she is a busy wee thing and I am so proud of her.  She works so hard and is a wee trouper.

Anyway, here are today's cards:

The pram stamp is a Magnolia I've had for ages.  I love it.  I stamped it onto the Do Crafts Forever Friends Kraft Notes paper and then coloured the body of the plan really lightly with a single colour.  I glittered the detail with a clear Sakura gel pen and added buttons from Sonas Made.  It's punched out using a Stampin Up circle punch.  The sentiment is from a set of stamps I have had for so long I have no idea where I got them or who made them, I'm so sorry (slapped wrist!).  The hearts are punched with Tonic punches.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Anything Goes - Through The Craft Room Door
Use A Sentiment - Crafty Sentiments
Favourite Colour Combo - Top Tip Tuesday - pinks on "It's A Girl"
Anything Goes - Party Time Tuesdays
Sketch - - Tuesday Morning Sketches
Birthday - Digi Choosday - the ultimate birthday...the birth of a newborn baby!
All Buttoned Up - Scrappy Moms
2 or 3 Word Sentiment - Aud Sentiments

Oh Baby! - Little Red Wagon
