Flutterbye's

What a busy busy day yesterday!!! It's all still a bit overwhelming but I am absolutely loving every minute of it!

I actually managed in all the excitement to make some new wedding samples yesterday! I went for pale pinks, but these would look brilliant in bold colours as well...

I love this butterfly, and I have an order for one of these designs already!

I also managed to make my personalised bunting sample...these can be done in any colour and background can be hearts or stars too! They look brilliant above a cot, or you could have Just Married, or Mr & Mrs for a wedding! Anything goes with these!

Right I am off to get busy making invitations for a brilliant couple who are getting married in Rome (doesn't get much more romantic than that!)

Take care and keep smiling!

Dreams DO Come True

So here it is, why I have been so busy (and absent) for the past couple of weeks...... THE FAIRY HEAVEN SHOP :-) I am so lucky! I have am selling all things handmade, and bespoke wedding invitations, so I am currently chasing my tail making stock! So my wee corner is within Alva Fashions at Glentana Mill, Alva, Clackmannanshire (there's even a wee cafe in the mill!). I took these pics on Sunday straight after set up so it's even more "finished" looking now!

I found the fireplace in a little local shop, and love it soooo much. It is Victorian, and I would love to know where it came from!

Here's my 1950's writing desk! This is my absolute favourite thing! It started life with me as a very dark brown varnished & veneered piece of furniture but me being me, I can't leave anything alone and I had a vision, so a couple of coats of paint later here's my French Shabby Chic writing desk!
This has been a dream of mine for so long, and it looks just how I always imagined. I can't quite believe it, it's all been a bit emotional!! I have the most AMAZING family and friends around me, who have all helped me so so much, and I feel so lucky and grateful (Getting emotional again now). I just hope they all know how much I love them and appreciate them.

I'd better go dry my eyes and make some more stock :-D

Nostalgia

Afternoon! What a cracker of a day! Have been out and about today, rushing about and not actually achieving much! About to attempt to make stroganoff for tea though which could be an absolute disaster as I am not a natural cook!!! Fingers crossed everyone!

I've had a wee play with the BEAUTIFUL Forever Friends nostalgia range for blokes. They are so pretty! Such gorgeous colours! First is an easel card...

Then an A5 ...love how these are so different and softer to the normal mens stuff...

I am going to be so upset when I use up this range, because I really struggle with mens cards normally!

And my folksy pick of the day My Pink Cow . Bought this brooch for my mum and it is just too cute for words! (Her logo's really fab too!)
Thats me for today...till soon , take care and keep smiling

Pampered Pets

Hi all! Enjoyed a fab week away for some R & R with Daisy for the first week of our school holidays. Was much needed and well enjoyed!!! Horse riding, a trip to Banburgh castle, swimming, another wee trip to Alnwick and just a lovely time! Came back to earth with a bump afterwards though, holiday cover and a ridiculously busy week at the shop! All good fun though! Here's some pics of samples I made using the Pampered Pet freebie from the Creativity mag. All I've added are some pearls, and white card stock...

I have to admit I'm not really a Pampered Pet kind of a person, but once I started working with these I really enjoyed it. They're actually really really pretty, beautiful muted colours and pretty images! Converted lol!

Here's my wee handmade recommendation of the day!
Wellydog Designs on folksy are brilliant...this is the necklace I received for mothers day (which I actually had my eye on to buy for my mum but it was sold lol!). I haven't taken it off since mothers day and its been well admired!
And this is the necklace I bought my mum for christmas...
I love this folksy shop, it's definately a firm favourite!

Thanks for looking everyone!

In the words of my 2 year old nephew, Later!

Absent Friends

Hi all...long time no see! Haven't been hiding just been working really really hard!! The shop has been so busy and been lovely to see everyone. We're also starting to sell off some stands and stamps etc which are all being listed on the shops Facebook page here. Also had my first card published in the Best of British Section of Simply Cards & Papercraft...mega exciting! Will post pics of that later!

Decided to have a go at the 2 Sketches 4 You challenges this week. There was 3 sketches so so far only had time to do 2. I used the Craftwork Cards papers from Creative Cardmaking Issue 21, and some KARS christmas buttons.

My second card...

Really love these papers!
